How to set up my Moneris account?

 

 

In order to accept payments on your online store, you must open a Moneris account.

N.B. You must have a Moneris Gateway merchant account in order to gain access to the Synchronization API.

On the Moneris interface

Once your account is opened, you will need two pieces of information to set up your Moneris account: your STORE ID, and your TOKEN API.

1. Access your Moneris account via developer.moneris.com et and log in (if you have not already done so) to your account with your Moneris credentials (1).

2. Once logged in, click on your Admin (2) and then on Store Settings (3).

3. Click the button to generate a TOKEN API. It will be in this format: XX#ryPIw#AEQX##tpYHa (4).

On the merchant interface of your store

rom your merchant interface, click on the Settings tab (1) then Payments (2), click on the Credit Cards tab (3) click on the switch to the right of the Moneris line (4).

On the Moneris account setup page (5) enter :

  • Your Store ID for the currency CAD (7) or USD (9)
  • Your API Token for the currency CAD (8) or USD (10)

You can decide to block transactions with an invalid CVV (11) and/or block transactions with an invalid AVS (12).

*NEW* You can now make credit card payment available only to your VIP / B2B accounts.

To do this, in the Moneris account configurations (5), activate the tab Available only for B2B / VIP accounts (6) then click on Save (14).  

In the Payment page, make sure that the Moneris line is in green so that Moneris is active on your store (15).

The test mode

If you wish to make a test payment before, you must :

  1. Inform the API Token and Store ID TEST information of your account
  2. Active the tab Put your account in test mode (13)
  3. Use a test card – You can use the following card number : 5204740000003503 – the name must be letters only – the CVV 3 or 4 digits and the expiration date must be a date higher than the date of your test.

Click on the Settings tab(1) then Payments (2), then activate the switch to the right of the Moneris line (3).

In the new page, enter the information related to Moneris in the corresponding fields (4) then Save (5).
