To follow up on the first installment of the 10 tips for selling online, here are now some more expert tips!

6- Don’t underestimate the power of traditional media
We often hear about social media, but the reach of traditional media is often underestimated. Whether it’s a feature on a TV show, an article in the newspaper or a magazine, it’s worth putting in the effort. Since these are unpaid content, there’s no guarantee that the journalist/researcher will be interested in your product or story. So, take a creative, relevant, and personalized approach to stand out from all the communications received.

7- Partner with professionals
We all have strengths and weaknesses. It’s a mistake to think that we’re good at everything and that we know everything! As entrepreneurs, we tend to wear many hats. While this gives us a holistic view of the company, some hats fit us better than others. That’s why it’s important to delegate, either to an external company or an employee if the task is significant, so it can be executed professionally. If your website design is lacking or if social media isn’t your forte, recognize it and delegate so you can focus on what you do best.

8- Trust on your online store: A crucial issue!
I often talk about this because it’s a real concern for small businesses: Trust!
“Will I receive my package?” “Will I be refunded if I’m not satisfied?”
These are questions your customers may have when they visit your online store.
In short: Provide clear information on returns, complete address details (even if you don’t receive people in person – mention by appointment only, for example), provide comprehensive product information, etc.
Personalize your website with your colors, your brand. Don’t hesitate to introduce the team and tell your story.

9- Offer freebies and promotions
Everyone loves free things! Buy this and get that! The world of infomercials is based on this principle and it has been working for years. A few points to remember:

– Offer promotions occasionally to create excitement. If you have promotions too often, your product positioning will be based on price, which could be problematic unless it’s your obvious competitive advantage. Customers will wait for the next promotion before buying your product.

– Offer free shipping above a certain amount: It’s a must! It helps sales and increases the average basket size.

10- Optimize
Optimization is a lifelong task on the Internet. Even Amazon constantly improves their website. Why? Because the web is constantly changing, because your company/products change, because your competitors move, because your vision refines. For all these reasons, your website/online store must be dynamic to reflect your online business. All companies that stagnate are more likely to slowly die out.
So, whether it’s in terms of graphics, visual or textual content, or optimizing product listings, presenting offers, etc., everything can be optimized, refined, to convert more visitors into buyers.
